Vào ngày 10 tháng 9 năm 2018 vừa qua, trường Đại học Kinh tế Luật (ĐHQG TP.HCM) tổ chức lễ khai giảng chào mừng năm học mới, năm học 2018 – 2019. Buổi lễ vinh dự có sự tham gia của đại diện trường Đại học Kinh tế Luật, trường Đại học Birmingham, trường Đại học Gloucestershire, cùng với các đại diện phía Doanh nghiệp và các cơ quan tổ chức khác. Bên cạnh đó chính là sự tham gia góp mặt của tất cả các bạn tân sinh viên hệ chính quy, hệ chất lượng cao và cùng với đó là Liên kết quốc tế.

Tại buổi lễ, PGS.TS Vũ Hải Quân – Phó Giám đốc ĐHQG TP.HCM đã khen thưởng cho các đội tuyển sinh viên và sinh viên đạt thành tích cao trong hoạt động học thuật và phong trào; Ban Giám hiệu nhà trường khen thưởng cho các thủ khoa Trường và các thủ khoa ngành trong đợt tuyển sinh đại học 2018 cùng các nhóm sinh viên đạt thành tích cao tại các cuộc thi quốc tế.
